Who are the PTFA?
The current Chairperson is Mrs Tracey Brunger (Year 2 and Year 6 parent) and the Treasurer is Mrs Wilma Down (School Office Manager) along with a team of other valued members.

As a parent/ carer of a child attending Canterbury Road Primary School you are automatically a member of the PTFA. Your level of involvement is entirely your choice. Some parents attend the meetings where we organise events for the year, or help out at the school discos or run a stall at the fair. Whatever time you can offer contributes to the collective success of the PTFA. Everyone has something to offer and it is a great way to get to know the school and make new friends too.

What does the PTFA do?
The PTFA plan and organise a number of exciting events throughout the year for the children’s enjoyment and fundraise to purchase additional resources for the school. Previous funds have enabled us to provide new benches in the playground and fund the Gardening Club. We have also made contributions towards new books and other items that help enrich the experience for children across the whole school.

What events do the PTFA organise?
We organise a number of events including Summer and Christmas fairs, film nights, Mother’s/ Fathers Day activities and Christmas Gift Wrapping, end of term parties for Key Stage One, discos for Key Stage Two, quiz nights and more.

How do I find out more about joining the PTFA?
You can find out more by attending our AGM in Autumn 2023 (date to be confirmed). Please request to join our Facebook page listed below to keep up to date with the latest news and activities.
